UPDATE: AUSSIE ROCKER FACING ASSAULT CHARGE
The lawyer for model Jodhi Meares has released a statement, revealing she has no fear of violence from her musician fiance Jon Stevens despite an AVO.
The Noiseworks singer is due to face a Sydney Court on Thursday charged with assaulting his fiacé.
Police were called to the couple's Point Piper home in the early hours of Monday, February 9 following reports of a domestic argument.
According to an official statement from NSW Police, officers from Rose Bay Local Area Command spoke to a 52 year old man and a 42 year old woman before arresting the man.
He's been charged with assault and released on bail.
Stevens is due to face Waverley Local Court on Thursday, February 12 where police will apply for an apprehended violence order (AVO) against him on behalf of Ms Meares.
Last year, Ms Meares pleaded guilty to high-range drink driving after crashing her four-wheel-drive into three parked cars in Bellevue Hill in June, rolling her Range Rover and recording a blood alcohol reading of 0.181.
The Sydney fashion designer lost her licence for 12 months and was fined $1100.
Jon proposed to Jodhi in Hawaii in 2013. Jodhi posted the following photo of the couple on her Instagram account, just last week.
